The Frost Flute Ensemble will perform the premiere of "Oxygen," by Pulitzer-Prize winning composer, Julia Wolfe, and works by Jessie Montgomery, Peter Schickele, Diego Vega, and Nathan Tanouye.

In 2020, the NFA commissioned Passacaglia, a stirring piece by acclaimed composer Jessie Montgomery. David J. Brown, MD, envisioned and funded this commission, sharing, “I felt the need to do something that would showcase Black excellence, so I am happy to partner with the NFA and Jessie Montgomery on this commission.”

After a remarkable premiere performance at the 2021 NFA virtual convention, Passacaglia has been celebrated yet again, this time through a performance by the Frost Flute Studio, including NFA member Brendon Wilkins and led by NFA member Jennifer Grim.
